The Story Café

Monthly meet up for storytellers and story listeners

First Thursday of each month.

From in-person story circles, we now have moved to a monthly virtual Story Cafe - a story circle for adults. Hosted as an open mic, this is a space to share a traditional story or a personal narrative (upto 10 minutes long). 

If you have a story to share or would like to spend an evening connecting with the magic of stories, register here and we will send the link to you.

The session will not be recorded or live streamed, so you gotta show up to find the gold!

Improv for Leadership Presence

Developing authenticity  and deep listening through Improv

The foundation of powerful leadership presence is our ability to authentically engage with others, bring in deep listening and build empathy. Experiencing Improv or spontaneous theater exercises  can help leaders to deepen presence by learning how to:

  • How to choose curiosity over anxiety, in unexpected situations

  • Deepening empathy with people we work with, and

  • Express ourselves fully through body, voice and story

​

A 90 min session to help leaders cultivate presence and dexterity.

Under the Surface

Exploring the wisdom of traditional tales

Timing: 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Traditional stories can offer valuable metaphors to navigate challenges and create new possibilities for actions. Stories also create a space to share emotions and deepen connections in a safe and authentic way.

In these 90-minute online sessions, we would reflect on traditional stories to create shared meaning and gain insights to live and lead in more conscious and meaningful way.

Emotional wellness for teams using creative arts

A multi-art modality experience to manage stress and anxiety at the workplace

The creative process of making art improves an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being— The benefits of creating art include a general sense of relief, motivation and hope, decreased stress and the chance to process complicated emotions. It’s a tool that individuals can use for their own psychological benefits, as well as way to connect with their team member in a way which is empathetic and trustful. Doing this in a group also allows individuals to feel validated and confident.

A 90 minutes experiential multi arts modality (visual arts, psychodrama, movement and music) session for managing anxiety and stress at the workplace.

Sharing and reframing those stories enable us to not just challenge beliefs that no longer serve us, but also shape our behaviors that help us own and celebrate our uniqueness and leadership.

Collaborative Mindset using Improv 

A taster on how Improvisational theatre can be used to deepen collaboration

Using core principles of improvisational theatre, this workshop helps participants explore ways to be spontaneous, flexible and open. By focusing on “Yes - And” mindset, individuals experience how to co-create new possibilities and relevant solutions.
